Nagito Komaeda is a student from Dangan Ronpa. He is a prominent character within the series and incredibly popular with fans. Komaeda debuted in the second game of the series, Dangan Ronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. He also played a significant role in Dangan Ronpa 3: End of Hope's Peak High School and Dangan Ronpa AE: Ultra Despair Girls.

- Komaeda's most popular pairing is with Hajime Hinata, which is M/M, aka Boys' Love. In Japanese, this is most often called 狛日, meaning Komaeda attacks and Hinata receives in the coupling. This is the most popular pairing in the entirety of Dangan Ronpa fandom. The ship is similar to the other popular Dangan Ronpa protagonist/rival pairings: Naegi x Togami from Dangan Ronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Saihara x Ouma from Dangan Ronpa V3: Killing Harmony.
