Cargo, or Cargo Ship, is a term used to describe pairing characters with objects and/or other non-human things which do not have intelligence of any kind. It was added as a trope to TV Tropes in 2010, and was later adopted on Shipping Wiki, Reddit, among other Fannish websites. Ships of this variety are almost always crackships.
