Byakuya Togami is a student from Dangan Ronpa. He is a prominent character within the series and popular with fans. Togami debuted in the first game of the series, Dangan Ronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, and he also played a significant role in Dangan Ronpa 3: End of Hope's Peak High School.

Byakuya Togami in Dangan Ronpa 2: Goodbye Despair
When western fans became aware in 2013 that the Byakuya Togami seen in Goodbye Despair was an imposter, many memes were made for the idea that with every new Dangan Ronpa entry, Togami would somehow participate in it. The release of Dangan Ronpa V3: Killing Harmony saw no serious return of Togami unfortunately.
