An Imposter of Many Names
- Ultimate Imposter - The official English translation of Goodbye Despair gave them this title.
- SHSL Swindler - Direct translation of their Japanese title.
- Twogami - Fans on Tumblr and possibly SomethingAwful gave them this name before the release of the official English translation. It has stuck around for over 10 years, and most works surrounding their interaction with the DR2 cast give them this name rather than Imposter, likely due to Twogami being a word that can only describe this specific character while Imposter is far more broad.
- Tongami (豚神) - Fans on Pixiv gave them this name for similar reasons.
- Sagishi - English-speaking fans may spearhead calling Imposter this. It can function as a first name for them. This comes from the romanization of their talent, which translates to swindler but it pronounced 'sagishi' in Japanese.

Fan Fic
- System Restore by CarthagoDelenda, a work-in-progress English longfic where Nagito Komaeda is murdered by Teruteru Hanamura instead of Imposter. This changes the course of Goodbye Despair significantly. It is likely to be the most kudos'd work on Archive of Our Own which focuses on them as of December 2023.
