Hiyoko Saionji is a student from Dangan Ronpa. Although she is not a prominent character within the series, she is somewhat popular with fans. Saionji debuted in the second game of the series, Dangan Ronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, and she also was in Dangan Ronpa 3: End of Hope's Peak High School.

• Saionji's most popular pairing is with Mahiru Koizumi, which is F/F, aka Girls' Love. In Japanese, this is most often called ひよまひ (Hiyomahi), meaning Saionji is the tachi and Koizumi is the neko in the coupling. During Goodbye Despair, Koizumi was one of the few other students Saionji considered worthy of truly being her friend. It is one of the most popular F/F relationships in all of Goodbye Despair fandom.
