The MCYTBLR Holiday exchanges are an event that typically happens twice a year, once in summer and once in winter, each happening around a holiday time. It began in the winter of 2021-2022. Some events are limited to focusing on AUs (of any type). The fandom of this set of events is on MCYT fandoms as a whole, using forms and "OR" matching.

During this summer, the summer of 2022, the event focused on AUs, and there was a slightly larger group of participants than before and so the need for a larger group of pinch hitters. These pinch hitters organized through private messages and discord. After the challenge many or most of the pinch hitters thought about not being done and kind of liked the idea. So there was talk. And now the "pinch hitter crew" has morphed into a new event that keeps contact mostly on discord, originally the name "Pinch Hits from the SMP" (Mirroring the name of "Tales from the SMP" Karl Jacob's Dream SMP spin-off) or "Pinch Hits from the Void" were used, but now it is simply called "Pinch Hits from the Void". The idea is various so - called "pinch hits' are collected from a form anonymously, just prompts, and people are encouraged to be a little creative. And then, groups of "(pinch) hits" are released every few weeks for members to complete for points, but also interest and fun. No idea or plans of how long it's "supposed to last" but has been going on so far, during both August and September.
