La Belle Dame sans Merci (French for "the beautiful lady without mercy") is a painting created by English artist Frank Bernard Dicksee circa 1901.

It is based on a scene from an 1819 ballad of the same name by John Keats in which a fairy seduces a hapless knight.

In the painting, the fairy, with long, flowing red hair and a pink dress, is depicted leaning toward the knight from horseback, who stands, transfixed, with his arms outspread.

The work became an object of imitation for several fanartists in their creations, where the fairy and the knight are replaced by characters from different ships.
