2021
Hello Mrs. Potato head. Do you know, is the”cite web” template still in use? I copied it from someone and yet I get an error. https://fanlore.org/wiki/Template:Cite_web Thanks. Alessnox (talk) 03:20, 18 February 2021 (UTC) Nevermind. I am working around the syntax. A bit of a learning curve, but I am trying my best. Glad to meet you.Alessnox (talk)
- You have what you need? If not, I can ask people who know more about that template.
Hi Mrs. Potato Head! I wanted to thank you for the enthusiasm you showed towards my plans to edit and expand Fansplaining pages, and for providing assistance about dead links! It's been very helpful and encouraging. All my best. -- Chanterelle (talk) 01:56, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
Hello Mrs. Potato Head! Thank you so much for adding terrific fanart and captions to the Figure Skating RPF page. They have been a model and inspiration to me since I started working on that page. Your contributions to the 1990s era are also wonderful and make me glad to know that transformative fans have been active in figure skating for a long time. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with the fandom!! Cheers, WhitedSepu (talk) 06:29, 14 June 2021 (UTC)
- You're most very welcome, WhitedSupu. The page is very wonderful, thanks for all your hard work on it. I added a few more fan comments to it. I'm going to add some questions to the talk page, too. --MPH (talk) 16:20, 14 June 2021 (UTC)
Hi Mrs Potato Head! I am one of a handful of editors who are continuing Barb Reader's website Star Trek Reviewed after her passing following a long battle with cancer a few months back http://startrekreviewed.blogspot.com. I have absolutely zero experience with Wikis after a bad experience on Wikipedia many years ago but would like to contribute to Fanlore and hopefully get help in return. For example I was the publisher of TrekUnited Publishing and what you have is only a fraction of what we put out. For my part, we have come across a B/W Trek video parody on Youtube https://youtu.be/jzBbFvE1fZ4 that *might* have been done by The Michigan State University Star Trek Club. I notice that you are the major contributor on this page and would like your advice as to if it would be possible to add something to that effect as a Fan comment? Is there a beginners guide for contributors? Thank you in advance.--Kirok (talk) 03:28, 21 June 2021 (UTC)
- Hello, Kirok. Welcome to Fanlore. Here are two pages that you can start with: Fanlore:About and Fanlore:What Fanlore is not.
- I'd recommend finding Fanlore pages that you would like to emulate, and use those pages as templates.
- The main piece of advice I'd give you is that Fanlore is about fans and what they created and consume, not about official canon and promotion.
- If you have questions about a specific page and/or topic, use that page's "talk" page for communication. MPH (talk) 20:20, 21 June 2021 (UTC)

I did a thing
I added a page on the club & newsletter Starover. If you have the chance to look at it, and see if I've done it properly, I'd appreciate it. Chavey (talk) 14:13, 22 October 2021 (UTC)
- You did a very fine thing, Chavey. I added some more wikilinks and some very minor tweaks. --MPH (talk) 21:55, 22 October 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you! Good improvements/corrections. I've just finished doing a major remake of The Shatner File. The big table is all new, along with much of the other text. The individual issues of the newsletter didn't seem to deserve the "full section of information" that is the fanlore standard, so I went with something much more like the Fancyclopedia standard. I hope this is okay. The table pretty much shows you the 26 issues I picked up in one auction. This set came from Barbara P. Gordon. If you've ever looked at her page, she was involved in quite a bit of controversy and battles inside fandom. [redacted] I might mention, though, that this zine does have a regular fanzine review column. So at some point I may try to copy those reviews out and let you see if there's any quotes you want to use. Chavey (talk) 09:30, 23 October 2021 (UTC)
Enterprise Regained
I updated the page for Enterprise Regained, adding information about three printings, and adding images of all three printings. Since I scanned in a larger version of the eBay cover image you had posted there, I ended up removing your cover. I hope that's okay. (It's still at https://fanlore.org/wiki/File:Enterprise_Re.jpg.) The cover of the first printing was posted by the author at the "External Link" for him; the 2nd & 3rd printings are scans from my collection. Chavey (talk) 23:15, 12 December 2021 (UTC)
JDIFC Cover error
The photo that you posted for the April/May/June 1978 issue of the JDIFC Newsletter is incorrect. What you posted is the cover of the April/May/June *1979* issue. I'm fixing up some other things on that page right now, and I've removed that photo from its current location. I'll let you add it to the 1979 issue (which is currently missing a cover image). I'll try to get the actual 1978 cover posted a little later.
In addition, the contents posted for the April/May/June 1978 are, in fact, the correct contents for the April/May/June 1979 issue, so I have moved them there, and added the correct contents for the 1978 annual. The "contents" that had been posted for the 1979 annual was just the list of authors of the fiction in that issue. For now I have left that sentence there so that you can see that it aligns properly with the contents formerly listed for the 1978 annual. You may wish to change some of the initial wording in that entry. Chavey (talk) 23:51, 18 December 2021 (UTC)
