Found Family was a non-profit multifandom zine dedicated to fictional found families.
About
The zine was first announced on July 5, 2018, calling for artists to submit applications until July 31st[1].
Preorders opened on Tictail on November 6, 2018, offering the zine in physical and digital formats as well as merch like acrylic charms and sticker sheets[2]. A giveaway for one zine was run since the beginning until November 18th[3]. Preorders ended on November 21st.
Orders began shipping approximately January 2019, and by Janary 30, 2019, all orders were estimated to have been shipped out[4]. Extra copies of the zine were sold from February 16 to March 2, 2019, or until copies ran out[5].
On April 16, 2019, the zine's organizers announced that $1032.63 USD was donated to Support the Asylum Seeker Advocacy Project[6].
