Lost Fics

So. Yeah. How does one have deleted works added to the "do not redistribute" list? Would works need to be specified title-by-title? Or would it be enough to (privately) provide a 'nym? Night Rain (talk) 01:49, 2 December 2023 (UTC)

Re-read the project description and it seems it only covers fics originally posted outside AO3. So this seems to have been a false alarm. In any case this wasn't a judgment against the project or its aims. I'm generally very supportive of efforts to preserve fandom culture. But principles often seem to demand exceptions when they hit closer to home. Night Rain (talk) 14:08, 2 December 2023 (UTC)

Usually the author will have left a note, either on their website/post or within the fic body itself before deleting the story. Some Archives have lists of fics they have but won't share due to Authors' requests. Other times, Authors will e-mail fics for safekeeping but will request them to not be shared.
