I stumbled into fandom when I was 14 and never bothered to create for myself a real pseudonym. Colloquially, I go by Jess, but am better known by my Livejournal usernames. From 2002-2005, I was Dammitcarl, mostly in Smallville and The O.C.. Since 2005, I have been Sloganeer, mostly in Stargate Atlantis and bandom. My fan fiction is archived in the Archive of Our Own.

I am not monogamous when it comes to fandoms. I return to old ones and pick up new ones and, therefore, putting dates on my participation is tough. Chronologically, I have done reading and/or writing in The X-Files, Sports Night, Queer as Folk UK, The West Wing, Smallville, Everwood, The O.C., CSI, Entourage, The Sentinel, Kitchen Confidential, Stargate Atlantis, Doctor Who, Torchwood, bandom (more specifically, Panic at the Disco), Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, Merlin, Star Trek (2009), Sherlock Holmes, As the World Turns, One Life to Live, Glee, Generation Kill, Hawaii Five-0 (2010), and The Social Network.

Fandom Contributions

Most of my fandom projects are in the form of Livejournal communities.

Notable Works

Stealing an idea from Liviapenn, one story I still love for every year I've been writing fan fiction.
