Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries is an Australian mystery television series that follows the adventures of a competent lady detective, The Honourable Miss Phryne Fisher, in 1928 and 1929 in Melbourne. Miss Fisher solves mysteries opposite a handsome deadpan policeman, Detective Inspector Jack Robinson, who only works reluctantly with her.

Involvement in the Kickstarter for Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears

In 2017, Every Cloud Productions undertook a Kickstarter Crowdfunding Campaign to raise a portion of the production budget for a feature film building on the television series[5]. The initial goal of AU$ 250,000 was exceeded by far, with a total of AU$ 733,210 pledged by fans by the end of the campaign [6].

Miss Fisher Con (fan convention)

The Miss Fisher Con takes place annually in the U.S. and is organized by the board of the Adventuresses' Club of the Americas[7].

Con 2017 - Las Vegas, NV

The first Miss Fisher Con took place in 2017 on May 4 - 7 at the Vdara Hotel and Spa, with VIP Guests Travis McMahon and Anthony Sharpe (Bert and Cec in the tv show), and Gabriela Hernandez of Besame Cosmetics.[8]

Con 2018 - Portland, OR

The 2018 Miss Fisher Con took place on June 28 - 30 at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Portland Downtown, with Ruby Rees (Jane Ross in the tv show) as VIP Guest. [9].

Con 2019 - San Jose, CA

The 2019 Miss Fisher Con took place on July 25 - 27 at The Westin San Jose with Greg J. Walker, the composer of the original music for Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries and Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears, as VIP Guest. [10]

Con 2020 - Cancelled

The 2020 Miss Fisher Con was cancelled due to travel restrictions[11] caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Con 2021 - Richmond, VA

The 2021 Miss Fisher Con took place both virtually and in-person on July 15 - 17. The VIP Guests are Roger Lanser (director of photography for Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries and Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears), Geraldine Hakewill (Peregrine Fisher in Ms. Fisher's Modern Murder Mysteries) and Izabella Yena (Shirin Abbas in Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears).[12]

Con 2022 - Louisville, KY

Miss Fisher Con 2022 took place both virtually and in-person on August 4 - 6 at the Seelbach Hilton Louisville. VIP guests were Nathan Page (Jack Robinson; virtual guest), Roger Lanser, Roger Lanser (director of photography for Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries and Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears), and Louisa Mignone (Concetta Fabrizzi, Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries, and Violetta Fellini, Ms. Fisher's Modern Murder Mysteries; virtual guest) [13].

Con 2023 - St. Paul, MN

Miss Fisher Con 2023 is to take place in St. Paul on July 27 - 29 [14].

Phryne Ficathon (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018)

There have been four Phryne Ficathons. The works of the first and second ficathons were unexpectedly deleted [15], but many of the works were later reposted under the Found Family for Ficathon Orphans collection. PFF - Phrack Fucking Friday (2016-)

A fandom event where writers post smutty fanworks on the first Friday of a month. The works are tagged with "PFF" or "Phrack Fucking Friday" [16]. Authenticity by Fire_Sign is one of the first PFF works on AO3.

Miss Fisher's Year of Tropes (2017)

A year-long fic-writing challenge during which each month had a different trope as prompt. The tropes included: soulmate AU, miscommunication, bottle episode, body swap, hurt/comfort, undercover, different setting AU, the dulcinea effect, rumours/gossip, breaking the fourth wall, and (un)expected marriage. A prompt fic challenge where fic writers have two hours to write a fic based on one or more of the prompts given for the specific flashfic-heat [18]. The first Miss Fisher Flashfic Challenge was a test run held at the start of April 2018 [19]. There have since been several Flashfic Challenges, in April 2018, June 2018, August 2018, April 2019, January 2020 and November 2020.

MFMM Break Down the Door Challenge (2020)

The MFMM Break Down the Door Challenge was originally intended to take place from April 12 to May 12, 2020, but the final deadline was extended to May 26 [20]. It was held in response to the COVID-19 pandemic's early period of isolation and fans were asked to produce works centering around the general topic of closeness [21]. Fans could submit ideas that served as prompts and the final prompt list consisted of 60 prompts total [22]. Ten works were produced and can be found in the Break Down the Door Challenge collection on AO3.
