Silver is a Pokémon Trainer and Pokédex Holder from Pokémon Special. He is based off of the then-unnamed rival from Pokémon Gold and Silver, similarly to the female character Crystal and his rival Gold.
Silver, his Gameverse counterpart, is a distinct enough character that he won't be discussed here.
Silver is popular with fans and the focus of many fanworks. The Pokémon he is most associated with are Sneasel, Gyarados and Feraligatr.
