Blue is a Pokémon Trainer and Pokédex Holder from Pokémon Special. Around 19 years after she was considered to be a manga-only character, a character who shared her name and appearance debuted in Pokémon Let's Go! Pikachu and Let's Go! Eevee. For the sake of this article, this character is Leaf and Blue is manga-only.
She is popular with fans, more so in Japan, though less so than her Cross-canon Counterpart Leaf. She first was as a prototype Female rival for Pokémon Red and Blue, (going unnamed in the official strategy guide,) before appearing in Pokéspe.
Blue is a hard character to label because she and Green Oak swapped names for the English localization of the Pokéspe manga and later LGPE, yet fans both English and Japanese speaking call her Blue more often than Green. These two also may be shipped together, creating confusion.
The Pokémon Blue is most associated with are Squirtle and Blastoise.
On Archive of Our Own, she is known as Female Pokedex Holder Blue | Green.
