Hyakunosuke Ogata is a major character from the manga Golden Kamuy. Although Saichi Sugimoto and Asirpa are more popular with readers, Ogata surpasses them in popularity within Fannish circles such as Pixiv and Twitter's Golden Kamuy communities.
Ogata did not survive the Ainu gold hunt. He is last seen falling to his death from a moving train after the wrathful ghost of Yuusaku Hanazawa (his half-brother who he had murdered years before) convinced Ogata to shoot himself in the head.
