Asirpa is the co-protagonist of the manga Golden Kamuy along with Saichi Sugimoto. Although Sugimoto and Asirpa are more popular with readers, Hyakunosuke Ogata surpasses them in popularity within Fannish circles such as Pixiv and Twitter's Golden Kamuy communities.
Asirpa survived the Ainu gold hunt created by Wilk, her father, and is last seen living in her kotan hanging out with Sugimoto once he visits three years after the gold hunt ended.

Due to being around 12-14 in a series prominently filled with adults, the vast majority of fanworks involving Asirpa pairings are gen (combi in Japanese-speaking GK fandom.)
Asirpa & Sugimoto is a common pairing, since her and Saichi Sugimoto are partners canonically. Asirpa helps Sugimoto survive the wilderness while Sugimoto is willing to get violent so both of them can survive the likes of Tokushirou Tsurumi and Toshizou Hijikata.
Asirpa & Ogata is also common. This pairs her with Hyakunosuke Ogata. The two act as foils of one another, and their interactions within the manga are dynamic. Most fanworks which fall into this umbrella are character studies which focus on their rivalry.
Asirpa also makes up a core part of the Golden Trio, consisting of Saichi Sugimoto, Yoshitake Shiraishi and Asirpa.
