Smittywing, or Smitty as she is better known as, is a fanwriter and archivist in a number of fandoms, including DC comics, Stargate Atlantis and Criminal Minds. She comes from Maryland in the US[1].
Smitty started posting X-Force fanfiction in 1997[2] on alt.comics.fan-fiction before moving to DC comics fandom: "In winter of 2000, I started reading Nightwing, then segued the adventures of Robin, Oracle, Batman, etc."[3] From there she started writing Batfic, posting to Outside the Lines as well as to DC or Batfamily-specific links such as BLUDHAVEN. In 1999, together with 'rith she set up and maintained Offpanel.net and in 2001, she and Dee had the idea that became The Dead Padawan Society Archive[4].
