Setzer is a main character from the Square Enix game Final Fantasy VI and a minor character in the game Kingdom Hearts II.

Unable to resist a risky gamble, Setzer’s happy go lucky attitude is tested when Celes, posing as the famous opera singer Maria, thwarts him with a trick coin. Having lost what he thought was a fair bet, he nonetheless remains true to his word and agrees to help transport the party with his airship, The Blackjack. Learning of The Empire's evils he quickly divorces his neutral stance and vows to help put a stop to them. Setzer may be a wild card, but never bet against someone who never reveals their hand.

Setzer appears as the champion of the Struggle tournament, whom Roxas has to challenge to advance the plot.

Shipping

Setzer's main ships are with Celes (either as Maria or not), and with Darill. Others are comparatively rare.
