RWBY WLW Ship Survey is a fan survey examining WLW's (women loving women) opinions on characters, ships and representation in RWBY.
The survey was posted to Tumblr and Discord servers on January 10, 2020 with results coming out the same day. A follow up analysis was posted on January 13 after the survey had gained over 1100 responses.
It inspired the creation of the RWBY MLM Survey.

Characters (Opinions)So, which characters are popular in the RWBY wlw community? Which characters aren’t?
Here’s where results start differing from our last writeup! Just like fandometics +n and -n will indicate how many spots someone moved. Bold will be used if anyone new enters a list.

Reception and responses
It is rather depressing to see the disparity between WhiteRose being one of the most popular/want-to-be-canon ships, yet trailing so far down (particularly behind Rosegarden) in the most-likely-to-be-canon categoryThough at the same time, I’m VERY curious whether that disparity would still be present if this poll was taken post-Volume 6. Or hell, even just last month before Episode 9 aired.[1]
I know there was a big disparity between what male characters wlw related to the most but I find it interesting that Jaune is the number male character wlw relate but made it to the top 5 of the most hated male characters[2]
it is pretty funny to see how Jaune is both one of the top hated and top liked male characters[3]
