Canon
Diluc is a member of one of the noble clans of Mondstadt, the Ragnvindr Clan. Diluc and Kaeya were raised together by Diluc's father Crepus after Kaeya was abandoned in Mondstadt by his biological father. Diluc became a member of the Knights of Favonius with Kaeya, but after the death of his father, he left the Knights and traveled Teyvat to seek answers and vengeance. He returned after several years, some time before the events of the game begin.
By day, Diluc runs his family's vineyard, the Dawn Winery, and a tavern in the city called the Angel's Share - despite the fact that he has a strong distaste for alcohol. By night, he is secretly a vigilante called the Darknight Hero. After the Traveler helps him with his vigilante work, he offers his future assistance to the Traveler in turn.
