Chongyun is a playable 4-star Cryo character from Liyue in the game Genshin Impact.
Canon
Chongyun comes from a family of exorcists, a vocation that he takes very seriously. However, he was born with an excess of 'yang energy', which manifests in his mere presence causing spirits to flee. He has therefore never actually seen a spirit, and expends much effort attempting unsuccessfully to track them down.
His personality is generally very calm and composed, but this might only be because of to constant vigilance about managing his yang energy condition. A side effect of that condition causes him to lose control of his behavior and act much more boisterously if he is overheated or overexcited. Eating spicy food, for example, can cause him to black out and do things like jump onto tables and chase people around with his sword.
