Summary
Keqing’s lungs seize up. Her fingers curl into fists and Ganyu tilts her head up to meet her eyes and—"Ganyu, this is Keqing. Your bodyguard."
Ganyu pulls down her mask. "Keqing?" she repeats, mouth slightly parted.
She tries to smile. It comes out more like a grimace. "Hi."
Ningguang purses her lips. "Do you know each other?"
"No," says Keqing quickly. "No. We don’t."
It turns out six years after they've cut off all communication is when everything begins.

Wow, what a great journey. I love this fic so much. At first I was skeptic when I saw the fic's tag as I don't really fond of idol au concept in a fic, probably because I don't really into idol culture in real life. But then I decided to read your fic and the first chapter was really good. I was sold on the idea and when I realised it, your update on the fic was a thing I looked forward every weekend. You wrote it so well. I love the way you wrote the character's struggle and their relation with each others. The way you wrote Yanfei, Xiangling, and Hu Tao as Keqing's friends and how they interacted with each others, it was great. Your writing made me want more everytime I finished a chapter. And since you used Keqing's POV, reading how Ganyu acted always made me wonder what she was thinking. It felt like I was really in Keqing's shoes. Really this is a great fic, thank you for writing this. Good luck for your next writing and take care!
What a fic! Your prose and description is fantastic, and I enjoyed seeing some of of the process behind it a lot. As another person part of the Chinese diaspora, I really appreciated taking inspiration from Chinese idol culture and the Chinese social medias and places. It was refreshing to have such a well-written Genshin modern AU set in China as well. I thought "wow, I wish I could write like that" multiple times throughout reading. Every character feels so human, and I especially enjoyed seeing Keqing and Ganyu's struggles with self-worth, relationships (platonic and romantic), and their feelings and actions towards each other. This is genuinely one of the best fics I've read on ao3. I'm excited to see the fics you have planned for this year, looking forward to seeing what you create in the future!
