Sleeps With Coyotes is a fan writer who has written some of the most popular X-Files and Highlander slash fiction. She has also written in many other fandoms and wrote several crossovers, including Highlander/X-Files.
In 2009 she took her site off the net after announcing it in advance, so that people could save their favorite stories.

- I'm afraid I'm going to have to announce that I'm going on haitus indefinitely. I think I've been slashing for something like ten years now, and while it's been a blast, it's about time I started giving attention to the origfic that's piling up in my head. This doesn't mean I don't intend to finish the projects I've already got started; Mascotverse and Mirrorverse in particular are getting finished one way or another, and every "planned" fic up in both of those sections is absolutely going to be uploaded eventually. Just maybe not at the regularity I usually post with.

Some of her many, many stories can still be found in a few older archives. Most of them under a different name because she switched to this pseud after she had already published several stories. Some of her Highlander fanfic is archived at Seventh Dimension and a few X-File stories are at The Basement. A list of some of her X-Files stories can be found at TER/MA.[1] Later she archived most of her fic only on her website.
After shutting down her website, she started a friends-only Dreamwidth account and uploaded some of her fanfiction.[2] As of 2010, she has been editing and uploading her older fanfiction to her AO3 account.[3] New fanfiction is also posted to her AO3 account.
Archive Policy
Because this apparently needs to be said: No, you do not have permission to archive my stories elsewhere. No, you will never have permission to archive my stories elsewhere, in any form, whether as text, podfic or translation. If I want a fic archived, I will archive it. Period. [4]
Awards
Sleeps With Coyotes won several Lisa e Krysa Awards for her Mulder/Krycek slash fiction in X-Files fandom.
In 1999 she won "Best Angst" for Blood, Love & Rhetoric, "Best Long" for Possession, "Best Novel" for Solidarity and overall "Best Author".
In 2000 she won "Best Medium Length" for Drinking With the Enemy and in 2001 she got the "Lifetime Achievement Award", tied with Aries.

[Sleeps With Coyotes] can easily be called one of the most busy slash authors. She always has a full plate, and any author would be blessed to have a muse half as enthusiatic as hers. Because of this, she has written many M/K stories, most of which are of substantial length.Breathless and it's sequel, Soildarity, are [Sleeps With Coyotes's] most popular and long M/K slash stories. On the surface both are X-Files, but they also explore a relationship between Mulder and Krycek. [Sleeps With Coyotes] had promised a third story in this series, but we're still waiting. :o(
One of [Sleeps With Coyotes's] other series Skin is fascinating, in that it takes a step away from the average slash story. Rather the just focusing on a Mulder/Krycek relationship, Skin steps into the science fiction genre, with a more than ordinary back story for Alex.
The third series that [Sleeps With Coyotes] has written is called Mad Dogs. In it, Krycek is a broken man, and Mulder seeks to put him back together again. While he suceeds in gaining Krycek's love and loyalty, several bumps in the road keep him from his goal. This series is still unfinished; [Sleeps With Coyotes] is currently working on part four, which she calls a return to her roots, and says "...it's more along the horror lines than what I've been posting."
[Sleeps With Coyotes] has written numerous stand alone stories, including her sweet Christmas story- Angels, her hilarious comedy- The Full Monty, her angst fest- Blood, Love, and Rhetoric, her post colinazation stories- Possesion and Promise, and the closest she'll ever come to happily ever after- Responsibility.
[Sleeps With Coyotes] has also written several XF/other crossover stories, and stories in such fandoms as Highlander, The Phantom Menace, and Velvet Goldmine.[5]
