Jean-Luc Picard is the captain of the Enterprise in the Star Trek: The Next Generation TV series, four spin-off movies and a sequel series, Star Trek: Picard. He is played by Patrick Stewart.

The Picard Maneuver is a term some fans use to describe Captain Picard's well-known habit of tugging on his costume. It is a play on words from canon where "the Picard Maneuver" refers to a battle tactic Picard invented.
Fandom
Picard is one of the most popular captains in the Star Trek fandom, and was even voted "Best Captain" in a 2012 poll on the Star Trek website.[2] Based on the event in the episode The Pegasus, many fans celebrate Captain Picard Day on June 16th by creating fanworks featuring the captain.[3]
