The Borg are a fictional species in the Star Trek universe, first introduced in Star Trek: The Next Generation, but featuring in some capacity in Deep Space Nine, Voyager, Enterprise, and Picard. The Borg are not a biological species, but numerous humans and aliens forcibly assimilated into a hive-like collective with a queen as the head of said collective. Notably, the Borg have entered the pop-cultural lexicon outside of Star Trek fandom.
