Hu Tao is a 5-star Pyro character in the Genshin Impact fandom.

She is the 77th Director of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor in Liyue. In her free time, she also writes poetry and plays card games. She is currently (as of June 2023) the champion of Liyue's Genius Invokation TCG Tournament.

Despite being introduced alongside other highly anticipated characters, Hu Tao's popularity stood out and generated curiosity. Some players have wondered why her subreddit has more members than other subreddits dedicated to other popular female characters. She's still considered a popular character. This could be due to Hu Tao's personality remaining unique despite the time passed since her release and the new characters. She is portrayed as friendly and approachable, but her unabashed fascination with death creates an interesting combination of traits. This along with her dark sense of humor, sets her apart from other characters. Hu Tao also has status as a "waifu" character. [1]
