The Fatui Harbingers are the eleven top-ranking members of the antagonistic Fatui organization in the game Genshin Impact.
Canon
Each Harbinger has a number and a codename that comes from commedia dell'arte characters. Only a few of the Harbingers' numbers are currently known - these get revealed with the first appearance of the character as a Harbinger in game, using on-screen splash text reading "The Xth of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers" along with the character's other sobriquets. The numbers are said to be in order of strength, but with Childe being number 11, it is sometimes theorized that this may not strictly be combat strength.
Fandom
Many of the Harbingers' appearances were revealed for the first time in the explosively popular A Winter Night's Lazzo teaser trailer uploaded by the Genshin devs in the lead-up to the release of Sumeru. As of November 2023, the video has 16.7M views on YouTube, making it still one of the most popular videos on the Genshin Impact channel. Prior to the release of this Harbingers trailer, the character Dottore had only appeared in the Genshin Impact tie-in manga/webtoon, while only Signora, Childe, and Scaramouche had appeared in-game. As such, many fanworks feature only those four characters, or only the latter three (sometimes referred to as the "Harbinger Trio").
