Dainsleif is a not-yet-playable character in the game Genshin Impact.
Canon
Dainsleif comes from the nation of Khaenri'ah, which was destroyed in an event known as "The Cataclysm" 500 years prior to the events of canon. He was a captain in the royal guard of Khaenri'ah at the time, and in the wake of those events became cursed (though that curse manifests somewhat differently than the one affecting most of his countrymen). Part of his curse includes his current immortality.
Most of the "Collected Miscellany" character trailers released with new Genshin characters have Dainsleif as the narrator.
