Blair Sandburg's father is a popular character of fannish speculation largely because there is no canon information provides about him.
Because of this, fans have extra freedom to speculate who he is, and why he was never present in Blair's life.
His Fanon Father
Many fans create a OMC as Blair's father, a man who is usually portrayed as dead -- many times before Blair's birth -- or oblivious to the existence of Blair -- where he abandoned Naomi and her son.
In some cases he is a bad man, involved in crimes and that due to these circumstances he was prevented from being in his son's life. An example is fluterbev's story Kith, or Kin? where Naomi and Blair are in the Witness Protection Program for good reason.
