Ariana is a Team Rocket Executive who was originally one of many unnamed Team Rocket Executives in Pokémon Gold and Silver, released in 1999. In 2010, she was given a unique design and name for the Pokémon Heart Gold and Soul Silver remakes. Before then, she appeared in Pokémon Special and was known as 'Sham' in English and 'Siam' (シャム) in Japanese.
Her, Archer, Petrel and Proton are often fanworked together, since they are the four Executives present in these games. The Pokémon she is most associated with are Arbok, Vileplume and Murkrow.
