Word on the Street is a gen Starsky & Hutch newsletter by Jan Lindner.

This zine was available in the UK from Tabby Davis.

It was a publication that contained zine ads, submission requests, and reviews.

It was published six times a year and cost fifty cents an issue.

The zine ran for an unknown number of issues, though there were at least nine of them. The editor notes in this issue that "publication will end with issue #12."

As a date-stamp, in one issue, there is a review of the May 1984 zine Rerun #3. See that page.

From the editor:

No, I'm not dead, or completely gafiated - but fandom has taken kind of a back seat lately, as I'm trying to get a business started and work a full-time job as well. This issue was nearly ready for MediaWest [in May], but there were so many new zines coming out at the con that I decided to wait -- so read carefully, there a lot of new listings in this issue! Please note Marie Antoine's Pop Stand Express announcement. The Express will be covering much of the same territory as WOTS (though I don't know why UNCLE was excluded) and will probably be out a damnsight more regular than this critter. (Thank you, Marie!).
