VidUKon/VidUKon 2020

Vidukon 2020 was held on June 12-14. Originally it was intended to take place in Cardiff Bay, Wales, but was moved online as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic [1].

Online conventions were not new for VidUKon - they had run a concurrent virtual con (VirtUKon) since 2014, which made panels and screenings available to non-attending fans. The staff used Conline, a fairly new platform developed by a fan, to deliver the vidshows and panels, while allowing conversation between attendees on Discord. [2]
