I could provide a link to the Thai five-star menu at my site if you want it — I'd add it, but I still can't seem to link to things in text rather than as a footnotey kind of notation thing. But that way the link on Alex's page could just pop over there, unless you want me to dump it into the fanlore page. gwyn 22:35, 14 October 2008 (UTC)

Oh, thanks! I think the link's supposed to stay a wikilink, though, esp. since it's a notable work — the standard seems to be to link to the article on Fanlore, which then has information about the fanwork and external links to the fanwork itself (I didn't realize it was up on your page, that's v. cool! It's on the Circuit Archive, too, but I am happiest with redundancies keeping fanfic safe. *g*). But if you wanted to click on the fanwork link and write up a summary of it with offsite links, that would be fab — I haven't had time. (If you want the fanwork template for that little infobox on the right, it's here: Template:Fanwork.)
For the external link thing, you can either just put the link in running text with no brackets around it, like this: http://example.com , or you can put in single brackets with a text alternative at the end, like this: [http://example.com Example Page] which appears as Example Page. Leaving the text alternative out is what gets you the footnote-y thing. --Arduinna 22:46, 14 October 2008 (UTC)

Hi! We're belatedly setting up the gardeners mailing list, so if you're still committed to gardening, could you send an email to volunteers at transformativeworks.org subj:wiki-gardener so that they can subscribe you using that email address? Lemme know if our astonishing slackness has changed your mind about being a gardener. --Betty 03:02, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Laura Hale page

Wow, what an awesome job on putting this together. I am really impressed that you went through everything and pulled it all together. Go, you! --rache 15:43, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

*beam* Thanks! "What I did on my autumn vacation"...--Arduinna 16:14, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
Echoing the kudos; there's a tremendous amount of info there and it's clear and well-organized. w00t. Kass 16:41, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

help with a mess-up

Arduinna, I messed up a page and can't figure it out. Can you figure out how to restore it? http://fanlore.org/wiki/Fatality_Syndrome Mrs. Potato Head 19:06, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

I managed to find the pre-circle redirect in the history and put that in again, no idea why I couldn't find it before, but it should be okay now, I think. So no need for gardener intervention.--RatCreature 19:22, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
Well, the page still needs to be moved back to Star Trek: The Original Series/Kirk/Spock. ;) I hope it didn't give MPH too bad a scare. :/ --Doro 19:28, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
Wow, sorry, guys! For some reason my "watch" on this page vanished, and I never got the email for these comments and totally missed them all till now. Meep. I've fixed it, so I'll be notified of anything else, don't worry. I'm glad it got sorted without my help! --Arduinna 04:51, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

screencap love

Your screencap for the edit toolbar is excellent! I'm thinking the help pages will look much more inviting with illustrations.--æthel 04:21, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

\o/ Yeah, I am all about the visual aids. *g* One of these days I want to grab some time to do screencasts for basic "how to edit a page", too -- I need to be rich and idle, dammit. --Arduinna 04:54, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

erasing a trace?

Arduinna, I think what this person is asking is for the last name to be eradicated from this page including the redirect. I don't know how to do that. Can you help? Mrs. Potato Head 21:01, 31 January 2010 (UTC)

Seems you can ignore my request, though I don't know what to do about the gardener request... Mrs. Potato Head 21:10, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
Leave it be for now - I think I can get hold of Celli, and I'll try to figure out what exactly she was looking for us to do. I think we'll be able to safely ignore it, though, so I'll take the gardener tag off at that point. Thanks for the heads-up! --Arduinna 21:17, 31 January 2010 (UTC)

Can you make this page right as per Rat Creature's gardener request? http://fanlore.org/wiki/Talk:Karen_McFadyyon Mrs. Potato Head 16:00, 14 February 2010 (UTC)

hi MPH - I can't handle privacy requests/problems myself; that needs an admin to do it. But thank you for the heads-up! I'll email them. :) (You can always email them directly if you need them, btw - it doesn't have to go through me. The email addy is on the Contact page linked in the sidebar.) --Arduinna 21:07, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
Thanks. And I don't really know who does what and where to find them. I'll file "privacy request" under "contacts" though. :-) Mrs. Potato Head 21:13, 14 February 2010 (UTC)

maybe a page for Klangley56?

Looks like you are friends with this person, I think they deserve a page but I have no clue... --msilverstar 04:30, 22 October 2010 (UTC)

Person of Interest

When you start a page, you don't mess around! :-) --Mrs. Potato Head (talk) 15:36, 12 March 2013 (UTC)

Heh! I want to lure the rest of the fandom into adding things, and figured an empty page would be intimidating. Plus I think a lot of the fandom has never heard of Fanlore, so some structure so they can see the kinds of things to add can only help. The next few pages are going to be much stubbier, though. *g*--Arduinna (talk) 16:02, 12 March 2013 (UTC)

Forever Knight War 14

I notice you're the one who started the page for the Forever Knight Wars; so maybe you're the best person to ask to take a look at a page in the Forever Knight Wiki—specifically, the article for War 14 (held January 2013).

As the person who wrote the article and a participant in the war, I'm a bit too close to it all to be able to appraise the contents objectively. Clearly at least some of it is appropriate to be transferred over to make a Fanlore article. The question is...how much? --Greer Watson (talk) 06:11, 29 June 2013 (UTC)

FCA-L

Can you assist? This is at Apology for Criticism (dated Nov 4, 1999) via Fanfic Symposium: "About a week ago, on little more than a lark, I threw up a page starting something called the Fanfiction Critics Association," which would seem to be late October 1999, rather than 1998, the date on the page. Do you remember the list email that is cited on the FCA-L page? I'll ping your email, too, in case you don't check this page often. --MPH (talk) 01:17, 12 August 2014 (UTC)

Hey, MPH! Hmmm - looking more closely at my saved email, I think you're right. I do have three messages dated 1998, but they're all from the same person; I think her computer's date may have been set incorrectly. All the other early mail is from fall 1999. (November, for me, but I may not have joined immediately -- it's hard to tell, because I had to be picky about what I saved back then.) --Arduinna (talk) 15:21, 12 August 2014 (UTC)
Thank you, Arduinna, for checking; I really appreciate it. I'll change the date on the FCA-L page. --MPH (talk) 17:52, 12 August 2014 (UTC)
