I've been bouncing around online fandom since 1993 or so, starting with Forever Knight and moving into Highlander, Due South, The Professionals, The Sentinel, and then into Stargate SG-1, which sucked me in sort of hard.
I've always had a primary fandom and a lot of secondary fandoms going at once, although these days that mostly means reading and tagging things on del.icio.us rather than participating in discussions. Stargate SG-1 is the fandom of my heart, apparently forever; Stargate Atlantis is the fandom I read the most, and probably counts as my current primary fandom.
I'm an old-skool slasher; I'm in it for the emotion, not the ironic detachment.
Yuletide is my favorite time of year, except for when Vividcon is.
Fandom's given me a lot, and I like to give back when I can. I've run mailing lists, helped run cons, helped produce zine, betaed stories and vids, and maintained resource/information pages in different fandoms, for shows I love.
I write stories, and sometimes I write essays, and I vid a bit, and I update my recs page a few times a year.
