The Duncan-Methos Mailing List was a Highlander slash mailing list. It started out as an eGroups mailing list. The website page was a member of the Duncan Methos Slash Ring and owned by Lanshark.
Description from the list website:
The Duncan-Methos mailing list is intended for fans of Highlander: The Series and the characters of Duncan MacLeod and Methos. Discussion about Mac and Methos, their relationship, and fan fiction revolving around one or both of these characters, is the primary purpose of the list. Please note that this list contains adult conversation and material and is slash friendly. You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your country) to join.If you do not know what slash is, then please read this first before deciding if you want to join.

The list is described as "slash friendly" and for those who don't know what slash is, the list website linked the following defintion:
What is Slash?Slash is a genre of fan fiction that portrays a romantic and/or sexual relationship between two characters of the same sex. The pairing can be male/male or female/female. Although m/m is still far more common, f/f is no longer the rarety it once was.
The term "slash" is derived from the character "/", which is used to indicate the particular pairing: for example, "DM/M" refers to "Duncan MacLeod/Methos", "M/K" would be "Methos/Kronos" (or "Mulder/Krycek" if one is referring to X-Files slash).
Slash was first coined back in the 1970's when the first slash stories were written around Kirk/Spock (K/S) from the classic Star Trek TV series.
If the idea of slash freaks you out and gives you the heebie jeebies, please do not join the Duncan-Methos mailing list.
You need not be a slash fan to join the list, and we love Mac-Methos friendship stories, but you must be slash tolerant since the majority of the fiction posted to the DM list is slash (in both explicit and non-explicit forms).[1]
