Canon

Mona was one of the major characters involved in the in-game event Unreconciled Stars that first introduced Scaramouche to the Genshin audience. The two's first encounter during that event involved Mona realizing through her astrological powers that Scaramouche was dangerous, leading her to teleport the Traveler away to safety just before Scaramouche attacks. Their second encounter happens in the final act of the event, when Scaramouche has come into contact with one of the magical meteorites that were the inciting incident of the event, and voices his conclusion that the stars and sky are "all a gigantic hoax. A lie."
