Nanu is a character from Pokémon Sun and Moon. He is the kahuna of Ula'ula Island, a police officer, and a former INTERPOL officer. He also allows Team Skull, led by Guzma and Plumeria, to occupy a town on the island. He is well-liked with fans and considered a fan favorite, with many fanworks focusing on him. He also makes appearances in Pokémon Masters, PokéAni and Pokéspe.

He is not to be confused for Gardenia, another Pokémon character, since Nanu's Japanese name Kuchinashi means gardenia. It's for this reason that their ship is called GardeniaShipping[1] in English-speaking Pokémon fandom.
