Fred Weasley II is a next-gen character in the Harry Potter series, the elder child of George Weasley and Angelina Johnson. He is named after his late uncle, Fred Weasley.
Fred never appears in canon. He was first mentioned as George's first child in a post-Deathly Hallows Bloomsbury web chat in July 2007.[1] He was revealed to be Angelina's son via J.K. Rowling's Weasley family tree, which was released in a December 2007 documentary[2] and on JKR's official site. He is also mentioned in an in-universe article released on Pottermore as attending the 2014 Quidditch World Cup final with his family.
In fanfiction, Fred is most often shipped with an original character,[3] as he is related to most of the canonical next gen characters. He is more rarely paired in Weasleycest or cross-gen relationships.
