Blackfly Presses was a zine publisher.
Some of their slash zines were published with faux academic covers so a fan could read the zine in comfort while in public.
In June 2007, the publisher discontinued producing new zines. As of October 11, 2011, the zines were solely available through Agent With Style.[1]
We must regretfully confirm that Blackfly Presses is going on hiatus from anthologies, perhaps permanently. We have the one slash Horizontal Mosaic Vol. 13 anthology to finish for ZCon and then we intend to only publish novels, novellas or one-person anthologies - sparingly. The demands of anthologies plus the sometimes crushing demands of Real Life lately for several members of our editing/production group have made this the only sane choice. We have enjoyed the fun of creating zines, of bringing together writers and artists and making something of which we can all be proud. We would like to thank all the contributors to Chinook Vol. 7 and Chinook Vol. 8 who helped us end our gen series on such a high note and made Chief Blackfly Nightowl's wish of editing an all-Supernatural zine come true so splendidly. -- Bog, Blackfly ListMom (June 07/07) [2]
