Vellioth, also known as Vellioth the Martinet (martinet being a short multi-tail whip traditionally used in Europe for punishments), is a minor character in Baldur's Gate 3. He was a vampire lord of Baldur's Gate and the master of Cazador Szarr.
Canon
Not much is known about Vellioth, mainly due to him being dead in-game. The player needs to go out of their way in order to discover more about him, usually through interaction with books, his skull and two urns that speak to the player in Vellioth's voice.
He was killed by Cazador during a ritual and seems to have died while they both laughed.
Fandom
Even Vellioth's race in unknown but most players headcannon him as a drow with white hair and some physical resemblance to Astarion (which would in part explain Cazador's obsession with this particular spawn, as he reminds him of his late master). A recent BNF's rendition of Vellioth as an eternal child vampire with white hair has also become very popular.

- White haired vampire: The most popular physical appearance trait that fans have headcanoned for Vellioth has been white hair, usually long.[1] He is typically a drow, but fans also see him as a high elf. There is a variation in which he was turned as a child and retains that vampire body.
