See Darcy Lewis/Tony Stark for het version of the pairing.

Common Tropes & Themes

  • Although Darcy doesn't appear in the Avengers film, fanon has her living at the Avengers Tower' or later the The New Avengers Facility (usually at Tony's request/encouragement) and working as an lab assistant to Jane Foster (and/or Bruce and Tony).
  • Common storylines have Tony or Pepper asking Darcy to become Tony's assistant, some have her becoming Pepper's assistant and meeting each other that way.
  • Darcy taking care of him by feeding him/making him sleep/etc when Pepper isn't around.
  • Darcy befriending Tony's robots - Jarvis, Dum-E, Butterfingers, and You - much to annoyance to Tony when they follow her orders over his.
  • Everyone Is Related aka Darcy Lewis is Tony Stark's Daughter - Darcy is usually revealed to be the illegitimate daughter of Tony's. This is a possible reference to the actors that play them (Kat Dennings and Robert Downey, Jr.) who had a father-daughter relationship in the 2007 film Charlie Bartlett.
    • Some fanworks have Darcy & Tony learn they are siblings, where Howard Stark is their father. In others where Darcy gets trapped in the past, she becomes Tony's mother.
  • In fanon, they often exchange quips and whit, and are often compared to being similar in personality (dark but funny). They often portrayed to be protective towards each other.
