Slayers is a long-running series of over 52 light novels written by Kanzaka Hajime and illustrated by Araizumi Rui. It is known as "Reena y Gaudy" in Spain and "Los Justicieros" in Latin America. It has been adapted into anime, manga, and RPG videogames.

Shipwars

The Slayers has no canon parings or established romantic lines between the main characters. However the anime creators managed to fill TV-show with so much ship-tease, that it led to ship war at the early days of fandom. There was everything: from long manifestos to whole anti-shipper home pages. Nowadays everything is much peaceful.

Fanzines

There are two main publications by official japanese fan-club of Kanzaka Hajime "Mega Brand Project":

• Lina tsuushin (Lina's news) – first fanzine published from April of 1992 till December 2005. There were made 24 issues and online publication is still active.
• Blaster! – most famous club's fanzine. It contained interviews with Kanzaka, polls, news, fan fiction, fanart, etc. Publications stoped after its 13 issue in August 2009. Translated interviews with author from this magazine still can be found online.
