Gourry/Sylphiel is the het pairing of Gourry Gabriev and Sylphiel Nels Lahda in the Slayers fandom.
Canon
Many years before the Slayers saga starts Gourry visited Sylphiel's home town of Sairrag. In events that have not been fully explained Gourry apparently by accident killed off a demon that had been threatening the city. This greatly impressed the young Sylphiel who, over the intervening years, developed a feelings for Gourry.
Their paths are overdue again during the travels of Lina and Gourry. He immediately recognizes her and welcomes her as an old friend. Gourry is probably the person who is nicest to Sylphiel. However, he does not seem to be aware of her crush on him, or if he is, he never lets it show. When they are together, he speaks to her and treats her gently, perhaps more like a close friend or younger relative.
