Filia/Valgarv is the het pairing of Filia Ul Copt and Valgarv in the Slayers fandom. Or Filia/Val if it's about relationship between Fillia and reborn or not converted to mazoku Val.
Paring name
There is no short pairing name has been established among Western shippers. But in Japanese fandom this couple is called Valfili[1] (jp.ヴァルフィリ). There is also a separate, less common, name – Filival (jp.フィリヴァル) – that used if Val is reincarnated/non-mazoku. It should be noted that this pairing name implies specifically a romantic relationship, and not a platonic one. However recently some fan-artists began to attach this paring name to describe the parent-child relationship between Filia and little Val. Which is kind of funny, considering "Filival" tag is more common in a lot old hentai doujinshi then Valfili.
Fandom
The peak of the popularity of shipping occurred after the release of the anime Slayers Try (1997). And in the Western fandom, most of the shrines and fan-works was created in the period of 1999-2005. Nowadays, as audience of the anime series decreased,the number of new shippers and fanworks declining steadily.
