Orion Archives: 2295 The Sixth Fleet is a gen and het Star Trek: TOS anthology that reprints content published in previous Orion Press zines in particular from Orion. Some of the later issues also reprint online fanfic. The early issues are numbered, later on the titles are organized by the fictional timeframe the zine takes place in (many Orion Press zines take place in a vaguely shared universe at least as far as the basic chronology of the Trek universe is concered. Their website offers timelines and such that the zines adhere to). Issues are still being released as of 2009, and there are also re-releases of older Orion Archives issues. A full list is available at the Orion Press website.

Orion Archives: 2295 The Sixth Fleet 1 is subtitled, "Preludes."

Summary from the flyer: "The following stories are written about the captains and crews of the U.S.S. Enterprise, NCC-1701-B, as well as the U.S.S. Excelsior, NCC-2000; the U.S.S. Chosin, NCC-2950; the U.S.S. Hyperion, NCC-10100; as well as other ships in the Sixth Fleet. Commanding this expeditionary force into the Beta Quadrant is none other than Fleet Captain Chekov, much to the delight of Captains Uhura and Kelsey, and much to the chagrin of Captain Sulu. The Beta Quadrant is an untamed sector of space, more of a frontier than anything else. Aliens of all sorts present new and unique challenges to the crews of these fine starships."
