Lyra/Silver, known mostly as SoulSilverShipping, ライコト (Raikoto) and/or シルコト (Shirukoto), is a common ship in the Pokémon fandom. It pairs Lyra (Kotone) and Silver (Silver), the female playable character and the player's rival in Pokémon Heart Gold and Soul Silver respectively.
In Pokémon Crystal, RedemptionShipping, which pairs Silver and Kris, was the rival/female playable character ship, though this was a rarepair before the release of HGSS in 2009.
SpecialJewelShipping, which pairs Crystal and Silver, is its cross-canon counterpart in the Pokémon Special manga.

"SoulSilverShipping" comes from Lyra being the secondary playable character in HGSS, as well as "Soul" being the preferred fanon personal name for her for a couple of years after the games' release. It was coined by "I like Pokemon" on Serebii.net on 17 May 2009.[1] HeartGoldShipping, which pairs Ethan and Red, was also coined around this time.
"SpecialJewelShipping" was coined earlier, as Shadowcat on Serebii.net came up with it sometime circa. 2005.[Notes 1] By 26 December 2005, it was seen as their official ship name.[Notes 1] It comes from both characters (Silver and Crystal) being named after minerals, as well as their origin in the Special manga.[Notes 2]
