Blue/Leaf, known mostly as ConflictingShipping, グリリフ (Guririfu or Greleaf) and/or 初代ライ主♀, meaning First Rival x Female Protagonist, is a common ship in the Pokémon fandom. It pairs Blue Oak (Green Ookido) and Leaf (Leaf), the player's rival and the female playable character in Pokémon Fire Red and Leaf Green respectively.

The two characters have only appeared in the Pokémon game series. Their cross-canon counterparts in the the Pokémon Special manga, Green Oak and Blue, are shipped to form OldRivalShipping. Both are around equally as popular.

-Shipping Name Origin

The origin of "ConflictingShipping" might be unknown, though it's likely a play on how Blue is Leaf's rival, thus 'conflicts' with her. The ship was coined sometime between 21 December 2005[Notes 1] and 12 October 2007.[Notes 2] "OldRivalShipping," which is for their manga counterparts, was in use by 27 April 2005.[Notes 3]

The pairing used to have a small section on Bulbapedia as well, which can be seen here (in archived form), Archived version.
