In late 2023, a Jujutsu Kaisen and Disney crossover could be said to be a overnight fandom on Tiktok. This microfandom's activity is mainly focused around shipping three pairings: Gojo x Elsa, Tiana x Nanami and Sukuna x Cinderella, though other pairings and even fan-children exist. It has expanded to crossing over with many other animated fandoms, including Sailor Moon and Many creators have hopped onboard to share their takes, headcanons, art and edits; as well as many more fans sharing their baffled amazement at the trend; so far, activity has been mainly limited to Tiktok.
On August 30th, tiktoker @cloudstifesimp[sic] created a slideshow of the characters Gojo (jujistu kaisen) and Elsa (frozen) with edited photos to look like they are a couple. They posted another tiktok that day of the two but in video form. The hashtag “Gojoxelsa currently has 19.9milion veiws[sic] Other ships were created with JJK and Disney characters in the next couple of days with them gaining traction and soon the ship Tiana (princess and the frog) and nanami (jujitsu kaisen) became popular as well. They also posted a slideshow of the two characters cinderella (cinderella - disney) and sukuna (jujitsu kaisen). After this post did better than the two posts about elsa x gojo the main focus of the account seemed to become centered around sukuna x cinderella. The hashtag “Sukunaxcinderella currently has 42.6mil views on tiktok.tiktok video chronicling the start + associated google doc timeline (partially complete)
