In December 2023, Nxdia released a 28 second clip from an upcoming song and the clip quickly began to trend. Prior to the clip's release, many of Nxdia's other videos received between 10k and 50k views; the clip for the song has received over 1.7 million as of December 20th 2023.

The short clip included the (presumed) chorus for the song – which is the part that makes up the larger part of the trend – as well as part of a verse, with Nxdia singing in both English and Arabic as they often do in many of their songs[1].

The most commonly trending section of the clip were the lyrics:

"She likes a boy, she likes a boy, she likes a boy, and I'm not a boy, I'm not a boy, I'm not a...ccustomed to making a move"

The audio track became popular amongst both sapphic and non-binary viewers, and from there also began to be used for sapphic fanon pairings or fanon pairings with a non-binary character; with one part of the pair being the one who "likes a boy" and the other being the sapphic and/or non-binary character in love with her, despondent about how they're "not a boy".

Some fans have created videos of achillean fanon pairings and overlaid the text "He likes a girl" and "I'm not a girl", while the audio remains the original as posted by Nxdia.

The meme spread outside of TikTok in the form of screenshots and texts with the same fannish premise.
