Birthday Sex is a common explicit trope in fanworks where two or more characters have sex on one party's birthday. Very rarely, the characters involved may also share a birthday. This trope is seen the most in fanfic and fanart, though is also portrayed through other mediums.
This trope often involves couples romantically involved rather than flings and may be seen as a birthday gift in it of itself.
